Viqarunnisa Noon School and College has opened an inquiry over one of its students allegedly died by suicide.
A three-member probe panel has been formed and ordered to file its findings by three working days, Principal Nazneen Ferdous told the media on Tuesday (Dec 4).
The members of panel are Governing Body members Ataur Rahman, Khurshid Jahan and Ferdous Jahan.
The body of ninth-grader Aritree Adhikari was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her room locked from inside on Monday.
The family of the 15-year-old girl claimed she killed herself suicide after the principal insulted her and the parents of because she had cheated in an exam.
Principal Nazneen, however, refutes the allegation of insulting the parents.
Aritree was barred from an exam on Sunday after she was found to be cheating by using a mobile phone, she said on Monday. “We called her parents only to inform them about the incident. They were not insulted.”
