Three people have been arrested under the case filed with Paltan police over torching Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) van at the capital’s Naya Paltan area on Wednesday (Nov 14).
The arrestees are HK Hossain Ali alias Hridoy Khan, Shohag Bhuiyan and Ashraful Islam alias Robin.
A senior Detective Branch (DB) official said that the three people were shown arrested on Monday evening (Nov 19) under three cases over the incidents of BNP-police clash and they will be placed before the court on Tuesday.
The senior DB official also said that they already admitted the allegations after primary investigations. They will also be interrogated under police remand.
Hridoy, a chattra dal leader, Robin, joint general secretary of Dhaka north chattra dal and Shohag, General Secretary of Shajahanpur chattra dal were gathered in front of BNP’s Naya Paltan office for senior party leader Mirza Abbas, the DB official added.
