Kollyan Shaha of Channel I and Mohammad Omar Faruque of the daily Kaler Kantho have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of the Bahumukhi Somobay Samity Limited (BSSL) managing committee of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU).
Cooperative Officer of Ramna thana Md Tajul Islam announced the names of the committee on Friday.
The other office-bearers of the committee are-Ayub Ansari- vice president, Mohammad Atiqur Rahman- joint secretary, Matlu Mallik- treasurer and AKM Kamruzzaman Hiru, Kazi Imrul Kabir Suman, Pranab Kumar Majumder, Mohammad Jamal Uddin, Md Rezaur Rahim, Barun Bhowmik Nayan and Kamal-directors.
Besides, Ataur Rahman of BSS and Md Badrul Alam Chowdhury of thedaily24.com have been elected executive members.
