Police have arrested a man from Rajbari on charges of threatening the US envoy with life.

The arrestee, identified as Razib Uddin, 30, reportedly threatened to bomb the envoy’s vehicle and office.

A Dhaka court, on Monday, remanded Razib for three days to quiz him in custody when he was produced in court in a Digital Security Act case with the Gulshan police.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Obaidur Rahman said, “The US embassy recently informed the DMP’s Cyber Crime Unit that an unidentified person has threatened to bomb the envoy’s vehicle and office in an e-mail.

Razib was arrested from Rajbari’s Pangsha Upazila with the help of technologies, Rahman said before adding that he admitted to making the threats.
