Members of law enforcing agencies have cordoned off another building, suspecting to be a militant hideout in Narsingdi’s Madhabdi area following Tuesday’s operation codenamed Gordian Knot.

Section 144 has been enforced surrounding the area as security forces are preparing to start their operation in a seven-storied building in Madhabdi.

At the end of Tuesday’s operation, which lasted six hours, bodies of two suspected militants were found.

Counter Terrorism and Transnational (CTTC) Unit Chief Monirul Islam, told media following the raid, “We had asked the militants to surrender, but they started shooting at our officials, at which we retaliated and started the assault.”

Bodies of a man and a woman, both in their 30s, were recovered after the raid along with a firearm, added the top CTTC official.
