A car has plunged into the Hatirjheel Lake in Dhaka early on Saturday.
The driver has been taken to a hospital, said police.
"The car veered off the road and plunged into the water from one of the bridges on the lake," said Hatirjheel police Sub-inspector Mohammad Selim.
He said the driver managed to get out of the car after it fell in to the water.
"He was taken to the hospital by relatives, who were informed by us," said the police officer.
The vehicle was pulled out from the water around 10am, told Fire Service official Ershadul Haque to Bangla Tribune.
