Detective Branch (DB) has rounded up 79 people in capital Dhaka, including 57 who they say were involved in doping people to rob them off.
The rest includes eight involved in producing counterfeit money, six ‘drug dealers’ and another eight muggers.
The arrests were made during separate raids in different areas in the city between Friday and Saturday, Dhaka Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
During the raids, law enforcers seized fake currencies worth of Tk 7.5 million, 61,000 contraband Yaba tablets and mugged electronic devices.
