Kolkata Book Fair to be dedicated to Bangabandhu

On Mar 17, 2020, the birth centenary of Bangabadhu will be celebrated which will extend for a year.
“The Kolkata Book Fair 2020 will be dedicated to Bangabandhu. There will be joint publications, media conferences, production of documentaries and seminars in Kolkata and Agartala,” President of Bangabandhu’s Birth Centenary Celebration Committee Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury was quoted by The Hindu on Thursday (Nov 14).
“Eight sub-committees are formed. The international sub-committees are detailing the overseas programmes,” he added.
Chowdhury said, besides Bangladesh and India, events are planned in London, New York, Tokyo and Moscow. In Kolkata, several joint events will be hosted.
Indian journalists, who reported extensively during the 1971 war, will be invited to Dhaka to share their experience, according to The Hindu.
