River transport services will resume on all routes across Bangladesh on Monday (Nov 11) as the rivers are still rough as Cyclone Bulbul is fading.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) announced the decision on Sunday (Nov 10).
"Rivers at several places in Bangladesh are still rough, which prompted us to keep transport services halted," BIWTA Joint Director (traffic) Alamgir Kabir told Bangla Tribune.
Authorities suspended all river transports on the evening of Friday (Nov 8) after the cyclone loomed on the Bangladesh coast.
