FIFA President Gianni Infantino called on Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during his one-day visit to Dhaka on Thursday (Oct 17).
Infantino expressed satisfaction at the progress of football in Bangladesh, the prime minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told the media after the meeting.
He added that Infantino assured FIFA’s cooperation in the progress of football and was satisfied with Bangladesh’s performance in the match against India.
Karim said that Hasina informed the FIFA chief of the initiatives taken to encourage the youth to play football including organising competitions at primary school levels.
During the meeting, Infantino presented Hasina with a FIFA jersey with her name on it while she presented him with a Bangladesh jersey with his name.
