“Casinos are illegal in Bangladesh, and something that’s illegal cannot be allowed to continue,” he told the media on Sunday (Sept 22).
He added that the crackdown on the casinos across the country began at the order of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On the illegal grabbing of footpaths, Kamal said, “The city corporations have been ordered to provide a list of the hawkers on the footpaths.”
The minister said that once the hawkers are evicted, they won’t be allowed back there.
