Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted rainfall at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am on Tuesday (Aug 13).

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin.

The mild heat wave is sweeping over Sylhet and Rangpur divisions and the regions of Rajshahi and Bogura and it may abate, it added.

Day temperature may fall by (1-4) degree Celsius while night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
