State broadcaster Bangladesh Television (BTV) is the most viewed tv channel in Bangladesh accounting for 83 percent of the total viewers in the country, says Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu.
To date, the BTV is the most popular channel among the audiences and has been broadcasting the most audience-praised programmes, Inu told the parliament on Thursday.
Speaking at the question-and-answer session, He said, “There is no reason to decrease the popularity of BTV due to the broadcasting of private satellite channels.”
Citing the BTV’s popularity on the rise, the Inu said, “The state TV channel has stopped airing many old progammes and introduced new programmes.”
