Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) warned government officials that if any irregularity is found in providing services to common people, stern action will be taken against the responsible persons.

ACC commissioner Dr Mozammel Haque Khan made the warning while addressing 112th follow-up public hearing by the national anti-graft watchdog at Keraniganj Upazila Complex premises on Thursday (May 23).

“We will unambiguously maintain a 'zero-tolerance policy' for anyone if specific corruptions, hassles to public allegations is found,” he said, warning that the government officials will lose their jobs and land in jail if they are found guilty.

Mozammel Haque called upon service-receivers not to provide bribes to brokers or public servants to obtain government services.

He suggested victims to keep record of incidents of corruption and submitting them to the ACC offices to bring transparency in public services using 'ACC Hotline- 106'.

Among 27 complaints on different government departments, 10 were settled at the Keraniganj follow-up public hearing.
