Metro-rail getting additional 28 acres of land

A proposal has been made to allot another 28.617 acres of land for the Metro rail project. The land will be used for Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and to construct station plaza.
A report by Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) informs that as per proposed plan, the size of Area A is 1.832 acre which is to the east of MRT line-6.
The size of Area B is 5.20 acre which is to the west of Uttara central.
Area C is identified as Uttara Centre Plaza and as per proposal, this has 21.765 acres of land. MD of Rapid Transit Company, MAN Siddique said, “We wanted some land from RAJUK and discussion is currently underway.”
A leading RAJUK official says, “Metro-rail authority wanted some land in Uttara and already, four surveyors submitted a report after thorough investigation.”
RAJUK has already allotted 23.84 hectares or 58.91 acres of land for the construction of MRT line-6 depot.
