Government of the People`s Republic of BangladeshThe government will be introducing digital system to prevent corruption and harassment in the transfer of teachers at government primary education schools. In the changed system, teachers will be able to apply for transfer online from their homes.
This will also get rid of underhand lobbying. The ministry will soon give an order to the primary education department to finalise the online application system.
Secretary of primary and mass education ministry, Md Akram Al Hossain, told Bangla Tribune, “We are starting the online transfer application to save teachers from unnecessary harassment.”
Ministry and primary education department sources say that the last date for the transfer of assistant teachers at primary schools was Mar 31 and a week before that, hundreds of teachers came to the department.
Many teachers have underlined irregularities in transfer saying that lobbying from ministers is working behind the transfer decisions.
Meanwhile, Director General of primary education department Dr. AF Manzur Kader said, “There won’t be any corruption in transfer and while lobbying is present, we will give importance to eligibility.”
Once the online system, begins, corruption will fall, ministry sources believe.
