Burial of NZ attack victims Samad, Parveen on Friday

Families of Agronomist Dr Abdus Samad and homemaker Husne Ara Parveen have decided to bury them in Christchurch, said Kamrul Ahsan, the ministry’s bilateral and consular secretary. “They were New Zealand citizens.”
The wife of another victim Zakaria Bhuiyan, a Bangladeshi citizen, is now in Christchurch to receive the body, which will be brought back to Bangladesh, added Ahsan.
The brother of Mozammel Haque, who died in the Mar 15 attacks, will be flying for New Zealand shortly while victim Omar Faruq’s family is yet to decide to go to Christchurch for receiving the body, according to the foreign ministry official.
Kamrul said there was little confusion about the identity of Zakaria Bhuiyan but now his identity has been confirmed.
Twenty-eight-year-old Australian Brenton Tarrant has been charged for the killings of 50 people and injuring 48 people with gun attacks on worshippers in two mosques in Christchurch.
Five Bangladeshis were among those who died while three received gunshot wounds.
