Nur asks PM to accept students’ demands

Nurul Haque Nur. BANGLA TRIBUNE/Nashirul IslamThe Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) Vice President-elect Nurul Huq Nur, has asked the PM to accept the demands of the students for safe roads.
Expressing solidarity with agitating students, Nur went to Shahbagh on Wednesday (Mar 20).
Addressing the PM, he said: “We want your promise that the demands of the students will be met.”
Demanding safe roads, students carried out agitation across the city on Wednesday after Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Abrar Ahmed Chowdhury was run over by a Supravat bus on Tuesday (Mar 19)
Students have blocked several roads which has brought traffic to a standstill and boycotted classes as well.
On Tuesday, Nur went to express his support for students agitating at Pragati Sarani but his presence was not welcomed by protesters.
One student said: we cannot accept Nur.
