Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka has released a promotional video on Bangla aimed at highlighting its language, culture and tradition around the world.
The 35-second long fast-paced video was released on social media platform Facebook marking International Mother Language Day, which has been celebrated on Wednesday (Feb 21) across the world.
Speaking to Bangla Tribune, Bangladesh High Commission in Colombo Riaz Hamidullah said, “Before making the promotional video, we had to think a lot on how we will present Bangladesh to Sri Land that the Lankan would appreciate.
“The embassy released separate videos with a length of a two-and-a-half minute over the past two years but these failed to draw responses,” he said.
Asked why opting for a fast-paced video, Reaz said, “It makes easier to connect the youth whereas the olds start to rethink to watch the video again.”
