The government will arrange for the rehabilitation of those harmed by the fire at Chawkbazar, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
Saying “we are by the affected” he assured of all sorts of support from the government.
“The cause of the fire has not been ascertained as yet.”
An investigation will be carried out to pinpoint the reason for the accident, added Quader.
The minister also thanked the fire service for its prompt response.
The death toll from the fire at Chawkbazar in Dhaka has reached 70 and may rise.
