Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called on the BNP and Jatiya Oikya Front to join the Parliament.
It’s a wrong decision on their part to not join, she said on Wednesday (Feb 13) while responding to a query from Jatiya Party lawmaker Fakhrul Imam during the day’s Parliamentary session.
“Those who got fewer seats in the Parliament are not joining because they are angry,” she said.
“I feel that it’s a politically wrong move because it’s up to the people who they vote for,” she added.
Hasina said that they will have the opportunity to say their part if they come to the House.
She said that their scope to express their views will not be limited to the Parliament because the sessions are broadcast live.
“I don’t know why they are giving up on the opportunity,” she said, adding that those who have been elected should join the Parliament and say their part.
During the Dec 30 polls the Jatiya Oikya Front alliance won eight seats among which BNP won six and Gano Forum won two.
