As many as 2,573,451 students have registered for this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations at 4,964 centres.

Coaching centres will remain closed for a month during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams, scheduled to start from Feb 2
“All coaching centres will remain closed from Jan 27 to Feb 27,” Education Minister Dipu Moni told a media briefing on Sunday (Jan 20).
The announcement came after a meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee on the exams at the Secretariat.
Flanked by Deputy Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Minister Dipu Moni said, “Students will have to enter the exam halls 30 minutes before the test begins.”
No others specific instructions have been issued this year, she added.
As many as 2,573,451 students have registered for this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations at 4,964 centres home and abroad, said the minister.
The SSC theory examinations are to be held from Feb 2 to Feb 25. The practical exam for Music is to be held on Feb 26, while the other practical exams will be held between Feb 27 and Mar 12.
The examinees will first sit for the multiple choice question (MCQ) section of the test and then the essay/creative section.

No one will be allowed to use a mobile phone except for the secretary of the centres, Dipu Moni said. “The secretary of an examination centre can only use feature phones without a camera.”

In a bid to prevent leak, question papers this year will be sent to centres wrapped in aluminium foil, she said.
Section 144 will be imposed in and around the exam centres to avert any untoward incident, the minister said before adding stern actions will be taken if anyone spreads rumours over the question paper leak.
