Bangladesh Embassy in KuwaitBangladesh embassy in Kuwait has taken steps to release the workers who were arrested in connection of vandalizing the embassy.
The incident took place Thursday late hour when the aggrieved workers, who were not paid for the last three months, damage embassy properties and hurt three officials.
“The Kuwaiti authorities arrested some workers and we have contacted them to release the workers,” said a foreign ministry official.
The embassy did not bring any charge against the workers and it is expected to weaken the case, he added.
“Our ambassador in Kuwait has already reached an agreement with the Kuwaiti company to pay the dues of the workers and allow them to renew their work permit by next month,” he added.
The workers of Lesco did not get their salaries for the last three months and were not renewed their work permit and it led them to vandalise the embassy.
