Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chief Khaleda Zia has appealed to the Election Commission (EC) to get back her candidature for the upcoming national polls, slated for Dec 30.
The appeals were submitted by Khaleda’s Lawyers against the decision taken by the returning officers of the Election Commission.
The last day of filing the appeals against the decision of the returning officers was Wednesday (Dec 5).
The full commission, headed by Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda will decide over the appeals from Thursday for the next three days till Saturday (Dec 9).
After the decision of EC, the rejected candidates can appeal to high court, challenging the decision.
On Sunday (Dec 2), the nominations of Khaleda Zia for Feni-1, Bogra-6 and Bogra -7 were revoked.
