Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda’s address for the announcement of polls schedule has been recorded at the Election Commission Bhaban on Thursday after 1pm.

“Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Bangladesh Betar has recorded the address with the consent of Election Commission (EC),” said EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed.

The Additional Secretary of EC Mukhlesur Rahman said, “The 15-minute address was recorded in the presence of High officials of BTV and Bangladesh Betar.”

CEC KM Nurul Huda’s address will be telecasted by national broadcasters — BTV and Bangladesh Betar at 7pm.

Earlier on Thursday, the law enforcement agencies stepped up security throughout the country to handle any possible mayhem following the announcement.
