Those of you who are looking to drink more water, this one’s for you. I often face difficulty in experimenting with my food and drinks, but these new combinations for detox water really work! So, those who want to be sure of what they’re drinking, give them a try!
The classics:
These are all time favourites. We always have the ingredients at home (so no need to go that extra mile to get new fruits). They are as beneficial for our health as they are tasty. They are super refreshing on a hot summer day and cherry on top, if taken regularly, they can help you lose a couple of inches!
-Lemon water
-Lemon & mint water
-Lemon, mint and fresh ginger water.
-Lemon and Lime water
-Cucumber water
-Cucumber, mint, lemon and ginger water.
The fruity-licious ones:
These ones are great when you want flavoured water, but also want to avoid all that added sugar. They can be quite popular for iftars replacing sugary juices, fizzy drinks or even Rooh Afza. Just make sure to prepare the water a few hours before, so that it’s nicely infused with all the delicious fruity flavour!
-Malta/Orange water
-Malta/Orange & mint water (you can also add some fresh ginger if you want an oomph to it)
-Orange & Lemon water (One of my all-time favorites!)
-Strawberry and mint water
-Orange and Pineapple water (add some mint, because you know you’ll want to)
-Apple and cinnamon water (This one also tastes amazing when warm)
The too-pretty-to-handle ones:

Just as I named them, these ones are just way too good looking. They are perfect when hosting lunch, iftar, dinner or even just to show off that you’ve got it all together! After preparing the detox water, don’t be fooled by the looks of it. It might just end up looking too pretty to drink.
-Strawberry and blueberry water
-Blueberry and lavender water
-Pineapple and watermelon water
-Strawberry, blueberry and lavender water
-Pomegranate and orange water (add in some rosemary leaves if you have them around and crush the pomegranate seeds for extra flavour and a rich colour)
So, these are the combinations I have personally tried and have absolutely loved. You can also add kiwi to any of the above mixtures and I’m sure it’ll turn out great. For herbs, try to go for fresh ones.
Mint works amazing with any combination mentioned. But if you’re not much of a mint person, try thyme, coriander or even basil (these work just as well too!).
Just remember the whole point of doing all this, is getting more water in your system. So, mix whatever flavours you’re fond of and drink up!
