‘The Great British Food Festival’ kicks off at Le Méridien

Le Méridien Dhaka has arranged for a food festival from the land of royalty – Britain, starting from April 25 -May 4 at the Latest Recipe Restaurant on the 15th floor.
The Great British Food Festival will be officially inaugurated by Robert Chatterton Dickson, British High Commissioner on Apr 28.
The guests, however, can enjoy the specially crafted menu for the festival from Apr 25.
The festival menu has been prepared by Executive Chef, Austen Reid and the dishes will be prepared with exclusive British ingredients.
The menu will consist of a series of delicious food items like Mini classic prawn cocktails, seared tuna, bloody Mary’s celery salt, Cullen skink soup with chive Chantilly and spring onion and parsley oil, deep fried fish and chips with tartare sauce and fresh lemon, Scotch quail eggs with parsley remoulade, Cranachan, sticky toffee pudding, Bakewell tart, and chocolate bread and butter pudding.
There will also be a roast corner where the Chef will serve roasted leg of lamb, beef rib, carrot and potato fondants, horseradish and mustards.
On this occasion, Constantinos S Gavriel, General Manager, Le Méridien Dhaka said, “British dishes portray the sumptuousness of the cuisines as well as the heritage of the royal state. The festival will create a great opportunity for city dwellers to enjoy the authentic taste of British cuisine.”
Meanwhile, the Latest Recipe will be decorated in a British theme like London Bridge, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, and flags of the four nations which is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and British music will be playing throughout the whole festival
The dinner buffet for British Food Week will cost BDT 3,900++ per person. Buy One Get One offers with different banks will be available during this festival.
