India has deported four Rohingyas back to Myanmar after they served out their prison terms.India has deported four Rohingyas back to Myanmar after they served out their prison terms, reports Indian news agency The Hindu.
The four Rohingya Muslims were imprisoned for entering Manipur without valid documents and were freed on Tuesday (Sept 10).
Citing official sources, The Hindu reported Mohammad Yunus, 23, Mohammad Abdul Amin, 40, Mohammad Hussain, 19, and Mohammad Sofi, 26, entered the Indian State at different times.
They all hailed from areas under the Buthidaung Mrone police station in Myanmar, the report said.
It added that after the Home Department ordered their deportation, a police team escorted them to Moreh, the border town, and handed them over to Myanmar officials.
