The mercurial star did not disappoint his fans, and greeted them with his signature wave. On the other hand, almost all the friends and well wishers of Khan, filled his birthday with heart-felt good wishes on social media.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote: "Warmest birthday greetings, Shah Rukh. Wish you good health, and all the success in life my charming brother. Khan's long time collaborator, and closest friend Karan Johar shared a series of "throwback" pictures accompanied with a long post. Here is an excerpt from that post: "Happy birthday Bhai...Am not sure words are the best way to describe certain relationships...especially those that have such powerful silences...you have always been such a tremendous influence in my life! Like the best preacher teacher I have had the honour of calling you my family..."
Shah Rukh's costar of many blockbuster hits Kajol Devgan shared a photo of them with the post: "Happy happy birthday to my sweet friend. To many more smiles like this! Have a wonderful day."
