Sabnam Faria files GD over ‘security concerns’

She filed the general diary with Paltan police on Tuesday (Sept 4), accusing one Mehedi Hasan Frahad.
“Investigations are underway regarding the GD lodged by Shabnam Faria. Details will be provided after the probe,” Paltan police Sub Inspector Md Mozammel said.
Faria was one of the judges for ‘Ke Hobe Masud Rana’ a talent-hunt show to find the lead role for the upcoming Masud Rana movie.
The judges’ behavior, with the contestants didn’t sit well with most of the audience with the video of behind the scenes triggering tremendous backlash after it went viral on social media platforms.
The video was posted along with Faria’s number in a Facebook group by one Mehedi Hasan Frahad.
According to sources close to Faria, she has since been receiving threats on social media and over the phone.
They said that she has currently deactivated her Facebook page, is unable to receive phone calls and was in a state of insecurity.
Meanwhile, she told Bangla Tribune that in addition to filing a general diary she has also contacted the Cyber Crime Unit.
“The accused has been identified and the administration is working on the issue,” Faria said.
