Popular musician and music director Bappa Mazumder will release his debut Nazrul Sangeet single on May 24 on the birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
Bappa, who previously worked on Rabindra Sangeet, said Nazrul-Rabindra Sangeet has been part of the life since his childhood.
But, he never records a Nazrul Sangeet before. “This time I dare to step in. Let’s see how it works,” said Bappa.
The singer has planned to shoot the music video after finishing the song recording by this week.
Title of the song is yet to be set. “Let’s finish the record first,” he said.
Bappa has dedicated his debut Nazrul Sangeet single to his late mother.
“The song I’m working on was learned from my mother. He thought me the song when I was a child. Now, she is gone. This song is sort of remembering her memories,” said the singer.
