Eminent music director Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul has been released from the hospital after being treated for cardiac issues.
He was released around 11:30am on Tuesday from National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and Hospital, its Director Afzalur Rahman confirmed Bangla Tribune.
“He has been advised to come for a checkup after seven days. His condition is well and he can go with his daily chores, including writing,” he added.
A freedom fighter, Bulbul had undergone a stent placement on Saturday on two of the eight blocked blood vessels. Doctors initially opted for a by-pass surgery, but later decided on stent placement.
Earlier, Bulbul’s illness came to light through his May 15 Facebook post, creating a wide reaction among the people of the country and caught the notice of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Later, she took all the responsibility of his medical treatment.
