The HBO hit drama enters its eighth and final season in 2019.

Let’s be clear about one thing. This write-up will be filled with spoilers. Hence, if you are a Thrones virgin, please do not read any more!

There are only six episodes left- and there are lots of predictions about what's going to happen. The most popular TV show in the world is coming to an end, and it's about to take over your social media timelines for the next six weeks. The final batch of six episodes will start airing on Apr 14, 2019.

The final seasons’ runtime is a tad bit short - but the episodes are not. The first two episodes of the final season are 54 and 58 minutes long; episode 3 is an hour-long and episode four is 78 minutes. Then the final two episodes - with the finale airing on May 19- are 80 minutes long apiece, reports the BBC.

Who's going to live and die, and who’ll end up on the Iron Throne?

Nobody knows anything for sure when discussing GOT. Hence, let’s start with the leading characters and check out the weirdest theory fans got.

The last living boy of Eddard Stark and Catelyn Stark, Bran/The Three-Eyed Raven - through a fateful mix of time travel and his psychic powers - is the villainous original White Walker ‘The Night King’. This theory is based upon Bran's time travelling which messed up Hodor's mind. One theory even suggested that Bran's time travelling resulted in him being the one who originally built the Wall.

Look, who knows what to think anymore? But what fans should expect is that Bran will likely be absolutely central to the resolution of the series - possibly by 'warging' into a dragon.

Jon Snow/ Aegon Targaryen

A legendary hero Azor Ahai (aka The Prince/Princess That Was Promised) plays a large role in Game of Thrones mythology. S/He carried a sword named ‘Lightbringer’. Ahai "defeated the darkness" thousands of years before - and is rumoured to be making a comeback, reincarnated in another form, ready to save Westeros from the White Walkers again. But which GoT character will end up channelling him?

One name that seems likely - though not set in stone - is Jon Snow. He ticks a lot of the boxes - raised from the dead, is really a Targaryen, has a Valyrian sword - and if he were to defeat the Night King, Jon would likely become the 'winner' of the iron throne.

Daenerys is likely to survive and win the whole thing (My bet). As with Jon Snow, she is a strong contender to become the reincarnation of Azor Ahai, and the one who will save everyone from the White Walkers.

Indeed, her fate, in particular, has become one of the most contested aspects of the final season. Will she have a baby? And, if so, what would that child's ultimate role be?

Lannisters

Cersei Lannister is the wild, scheming, power-hungry fiend that we all loathe to love, and we all pray that, she won't make it out alive.

There was a prophecy that Cersei was given as a child, says a "younger brother" will choke her to death. Both Tyrion and her twin/lover Jaime are her younger brothers - and the second last season ended with Jaime breaking away from his lover's plans, suggesting a whole lot of fascinating theories.

Dwarf Tyrion is actually is in a much safer place with his fan base and a lot of us would be really upset to watch him die.

The fates of the Stark sisters, Arya and Sansa, are a big focus in these final episodes. The teaser trailer shows Arya running, frightened, through a dark passageway in Winterfell. It could be any number of things that has put the frighteners on her. But one theory is that Arya has encountered the reanimated corpses of dead family members brought back by the Night King.

As for Sansa, she's had a truly horrendous time throughout the show so far - but at least one theory has a happy ending for the character (well, as 'happy' as anything can get in Game of Thrones). Sansa, some argue, will become Queen of the North in Winterfell - but only if Jon Snow dies - and will forge a lasting peace with Daenerys.

Other theories have it that Sansa is destined to die, and even that she'll end up back with her first husband-through-arranged-marriage, Tyrion Lannister.

All will be revealed in the coming weeks. In the meantime, feel free to add your own theories and predictions in the comments below.
