Hundreds of people from all walks of life bid farewell to cinematographer and photographer Anwar Hossain in Dhaka.
His cadaver was taken to the Shaheed Minar around 11am on Monday and kept there until 12:30pm.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at Dhaka University’s Central Mosque premises after Zuhr prayers.
He will later be buried at Intellectual Martyrs Graveyard in Mirpur.
On Saturday (Dec 1), the national Award-winning cinematographer Anwar Hossain was found dead in a Dhaka hotel.
Anwar who was living in France with his family checked into the hotel on Nov 28.
He returned to the country in order to judge a photography competition organized by Phoenix Photography Association.
