An Indian citizen Rashedul Islam aka Rashedul, 30, has been detained by Border Guard of Bangladesh at the bordering area at Dewangonj Upazila in Jamalpur district.
He was detained while crossing the Pathorerchor border of the Upazila on Tuesday evening.
Rashedul is a resident of Jhaudanga village of Sindimar district in Assam.
Officer In-charge of Dewanganj Police Station Md Lutfor Rahman said, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained him while he was trying to cross the boundary at Pathorerchor.
Abdus Sobur, a non-commissioned officer of BGB has filed a case against him at Dewangonj Police station.
He was sent to jail after being produced to the court on Wednesday.
