Bangladeshi man killed by BSF in Jhenidah

Bangladesh-India Border. File PhotoA Bangladeshi man has been shot dead by Border Security Force (BSF) of India in Larighat border under Moheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district.
The incident occurred in Shilgate area under Hanskhali village of India's Nadia district early Friday (Nov 8).
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Sumon Hossain, son of Abdul Mannan from Shyamkur village of Jhenaidah.
Jhenaidah Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director Lt Col Kamrul Ahsan, said: "Sumon was shot by BSF men of Pakhiura camp, when he, along with a few others, went to the border area to bring cattle."
The body is now under the custody of Hanskhali police station in Nadia district, he said.
Sumon was a cattle smuggler, said the BGB official.
