Two workers were killed while two others sustained injuries when a gas cylinder blasted on an oil-tanker at a dockyard at Shikalbaha area under Karnaphuli upazila of Chittagong.

Sub-Inspector Abdul Matin of Karnaphuli police station said that the explosion occurred on an oil-tanker 'MV Desh-1' at 11:30am on Monday.
The gas cylinder blast took place at 'Ocean Dockyard' when the dockyard workers were doing a repair work.

The deceased have been identified as Rashed, 21 and Masum, 23. The injured workers are Kamrul, 28 and Amzad, 30 were whisked off to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

ASI Alauddin Talukder of the CMCH police outpost said that the injured workers were admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.
