Abducted former Union Parishad chairman Dipamoy Talukder has been found dead at Rajasthali upazila of Rangamati district.
Police recovered the body from Zero Mail area of the upazila early on Wednesday (Oct 23), said Rajasthali police OC Mofzal Ahmed.
Talukdar, former UP member of Ghilachhari union, was abducted by armed assailants on gunpoint on Tuesday (Oct 22) noon, said the victim’s family.
The OC said, “The victim’s family informed police about the abduction on Tuesday noon. Later, we started search operations.”
Police are yet to find the killers in the incident.
