Unidentified miscreants have hacked to death a local Jubo League leader in Feni.
The incident was reported around 11.30pm on Thursday (Oct 10) from the district's Sadar Upazila, said police.
The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Rabiul Huq Manik, son of Nurul Haque from Fazilpur union of the Sadar upzaila.
"Some unidentified miscreants hacked Manik indiscriminately at his residence near to Fazilpur Bazar, leaving him injured. He succumbed to injuries on the way to Feni General Hospital," said Bogdadia police OC Omar Haider.
"The body has been sent to Feni General Hospital for autopsy," said OC Haider.
No case has been filed in this regard, he added.
Feni Sadar Upazila Jubo League president Nurul Afsar told Bangla Tribune, “Manik served as a member of the executive committee of Fajilpur union unit of Jubo League."
