Police in Joypurhat have arrested a man for shaving his wife’s head after finding hair in food.

Babul Mia was arrested on Monday (Oct 7) from a village the northern district after locals reported to police.

An enraged Babul forcibly shaved his wife’s head before assaulting her after finding human hair on the food prepared for him, said Joypurhat police OC Shahriar Khan.

"He became angry seeing the hair and blamed the wife. He then took a blade and forcibly shaved the head of the wife," he said.
