One person has been killed and 30 others injured in a train accident in the northern district of Rangpur.
The accident was reported from the district's Kaunia Upazila around 3:40pm on Thursday (Oct 3), police said.
Kaunia police OC Abdul Aziz told Bangla Tribune, "A person died when an oil wagon was being attached to a freight train carrying oil at the Kaunia junction.
"Thirty others were also injured," he added
The identity of the deceased and the injured are yet to be disclosed.
The injured have been admitted to the nearby hospitals.
