Missing police officer’s charred body found

The 38-year-old was missing since Sunday afternoon, when he left home, police said quoting family members.
The next day, his brother Jahangir Alam filed a missing report with the police.
On Tuesday, Inspector Imran’s body was found at the Rayerdia Village in Gazipur’s Kaliganj Upazila.
Kaliganj police said that the detective branch has taken the charge of the investigation.
OC Abu Bakar Siddique said local reported after spotting the body. “The body had burn marks on several places, including the face,” he said.
The Sabujbagh police in Dhaka said that Islam’s family filed a missing report with them on Monday, a day after the police officer went missing.
“A murder case has been filed with the Banani police as he went missing from there. They have made an arrest over the incident,” Sub-Inspector Salahuddin Ahmed of Sabujbagh police.
Banani police’s Inspector Barhan Uddin confirmed that the murder case has been filed with them. “But we have forwarded all the documents to the Detective Branch as they will be in charge of the investigation,” he told Bangla Tribune.
