Three people were killed and at least 15 others were injured in a road accident on the Thakurgaon-Panchagarh highway in Thakurgaon Sadar on Thursday (Aug 22).
The accident occurred around 9:50 am when a Thakurgaon-bound passenger bus collided head-on with another passenger bus coming from the opposite direction.
The dead include Babul Hosen, 40, a minibus driver, Abul Kalam Azad (52), and Kamruzzaman Razu, 52, who works for Agarani Bank Munshirhat Branch.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Thakurgaon Police Station, Ahmed Ali confirmed the incident to Bangla Tribune.
On information, fire-fighters and police went to the spot and recovered the bodies and brought the injured to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital.
