Three members of a family sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out in a Gazipur house.
The incident was reported early on Saturday (Aug 17) at Kathoa of Salna in the gazipur city, said police citing the locals.
The injured have been identified as Noor Mohammad, 80, Yakub Ali Mondol, 60, and Aklima Khatun, 50.
Police said, hearing a big bang locals rushed to the house of Yakub Ali Mondol early on Saturday. They rescued the victims from the house and admitted them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The origin of the fire could not be known yet, said police.
DMCH police camp Inspector Baccu Mia said, "Yakub Ali Mondol is in a more critical condition with 100% burn while Akmila Khatun sustained 95% and Nur Mohammad sustained 25% injuries."
