One held in Gazipur police raid.

Dhaka police have conducted a raid at a house in Gazipur and held a man at about 5am on Sunday (June 24). The arrestee has been identified as Abdur Rahman, 37.
Three pistols and four pieces of explosives have been seized from the spot.
The incident was reported from district’s Sreepur Upazila, where police conducted the drive in a house in Keoa West Block near Maona Al Hera Hospital in the wee hours on Sunday.

The house owner said: “a contingent from Dhaka police headquarters took position at my house around 4 am.”
A police official identifying him as the Additional Superintendent of Police called me over phone to meet him; they wanted to search the flat on the ground floor, he said.
“After an hour, at 5am, they called me again and I found that the tenant has been detained.”
Police told me that they seized three pistols and four bombs from a drawer of the flat, said the house owner.
The owner also told the police that Abdur Rahman had rented the flat two months ago.
A police official, seeking anonymity, said: “our mission will conclude after a bomb disposal team from Dhaka arrives.”
