Rail links between Dhaka and the northern region restored on Friday after more than 4 hours of derailment. 

Earlier, a carriage of the Dhaka-bound Rangpur Express train went off the tracks around 10:00 am near the Salna.


A salvage train cleared the tracks, said Subrata Das, chief of Railway Police Camp at Joydebpur Railway Junction.
The train derailment suspended communications with Dhaka, Tangail, Khulna and Rangpur, he said.
