Two people in Netrokona have been sentenced to one month in prison for pretending to be representatives of a lessee and collecting toll.
A mobile court led by Kolmakandar UNO and Executive Magistrate Ruyel Si Sangma sentenced Selim Khan, 30 and Nur-e-Alam, 28 on Friday (May 24).
Magistrate Sangma said that the two were found guilty of collecting toll from the boat owners at Kolmakandar.
The actual lessee got to know about the matter and handed them over to the police after which they were sent to jail the very day.
