One person reportedly died in a landslide at Maheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Panirchara area at 6am, said the OC of Maheshkhali Police Station Pradip Kumar Das.
The victim was identified as Badshah Mia, 35.
“The heavy downpours in the last couple of days caused the landslide. Badshah died when a pile of earth fell on his home but, other members of the family remained unhurt”, the OC added.
