Despite being termed risky, academic sessions are going on at the Moubaria Government Primary School in Doulatpur, Kushtia. However, after a recent visit, promises were made for the construction of a new building.
The headmaster of the school, Masuduzzaman, said, “The building has been risky for eight years; in 2015, following an application, some money was allocated which was used to carry out reforms.”
There are 120 students at this school; Doulatpur primary education officer, Mostakimur Rahman, said, “A list of schools needing urgent repair has already been sent to the relevant authority. Once the allotted funds arrive, work will begin.”
The Moubaria Primary School was established in 1958 on 3 bighas of land. The one storied building has five rooms and all of them are in a decrepit state.
