Three people were believed to have been crushed under the wheels of a running train in Gopalganj’s Sadar Upazila.

The incident was reported late on Tuesday (Mar 19) at the upazila’s Bhennabari rail crossing area, said police.

Two among the deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Raju Sikdar and 19-year-old Tanvir Chowdhury Rocky.

The police believe that three persons riding on a motorbike were hit by a train and fell under the wheels when they were crossing the railway tracks in the area.

“Their bodies were recovered from the scene and sent to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital,” said Islam.
